Dragan Nikolić is a chemical engineer specialised in process systems engineering, scientific software development and high performance computing. Experienced professional with a unique combination of technical expertise, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Significant experience in mathematical modelling, optimisation, numerical methods, scientific software development (c++, python), high performance computing and design of modelling/domain-specific languages. His research activities are multidisciplinary in several fields such as: scale-up of chemical reactors and crystallisation processes, meshfree CFD methods (Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics), laser-based flow visualisation and measurements methods (PIV, LIF), Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA), membrane systems for gas separations, hydrogen storage reactors, renewable energy (thermo-electric generation using phase-change materials), heat transfer and heat exchangers, neural networks.
